To produce servers for Apple Intelligence, the AI personal assistant for iPhone, iPad, and Mac computers
To replace server components that were previously manufactured overseas
Saving expense on newly proposed Tariffs
To create thousands of jobs in the Houston area
Who will be involved?
Apple will work with manufacturing partners, including Foxconn, to build the facility
Foxconn's parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., recently acquired more than 10 acres of land in North West Harris County
What will the servers do?
The servers will be the foundation of Private Cloud Compute, which combines AI processing with security architecture
The servers will be designed to be energy efficient, reducing the energy demands of Apple data centers
How will thousands of new workers moving here impact real estate in Harris County
Developers have been hard at work building out master planned communities all over greater Houston. As of today Houston has 8.67 months of inventory
Traffic has been relatively smooth because of the recently expanded Grand Parkway connecting multiple counties
