New facility in Houston will be in Harris County, Texas. The 250,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in 2026 and will be developed over the next 4 years. Creating thousands of new Apple Jobs in Houston


Why the new facility?

  • To produce servers for Apple Intelligence, the AI personal assistant for iPhone, iPad, and Mac computers 

  • To replace server components that were previously manufactured overseas

  • Saving expense on newly proposed Tariffs

  • To create thousands of jobs in the Houston area 


Who will be involved? 

  • Apple will work with manufacturing partners, including Foxconn, to build the facility

  • Foxconn's parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., recently acquired more than 10 acres of land in North West Harris County


What will the servers do? 

  • The servers will be the foundation of Private Cloud Compute, which combines AI processing with security architecture

  • The servers will be designed to be energy efficient, reducing the energy demands of Apple data centers


How will thousands of new workers moving here impact real estate in Harris County

  • Developers have been hard at work building out master planned communities all over greater Houston. As of today Houston has 8.67 months of inventory

  • Traffic has been relatively smooth because of the recently expanded Grand Parkway connecting multiple counties
